My Dad, Tom Greenwood died in April 2017 but in the five years before, he had started writing about his life and particularly his childhood. I’d badgered him to write down what he knew about our family history. He was born in Vienna but came to the UK following the rise of Hitler. He was lucky – he and his close family escaped the Nazis while many of our relatives did not. Unfortunately dad died before he completed his memoirs – but I intend to write up the rest of his life when I have time, and add in some of the family photos and momentos that dad never had time to include.
I have also added my mum’s memoirs. Gill Verschoyle (nee Kent-Lemon) was born in 1942.
